Geeze Louise - can it really be true that half the year is already gone???? It must be, because here I am in the beginning of July and already thinking about Christmas. Could it be because it's hotter than blue blazes here? Possibly. Or could it be that I just LOVE the holidays? Possibly. Or could it be that I've struck a chord of terror deep within my heart because I've yet to think about one single Christmas project yet alone strike a stich to begin one? YEP - I think THAT'S it!!! Well heart - hurt no more, 'cause here comes Martingale / That Patchwork Place to the rescue. Just take a gander at what I found in my mailbox a few days ago:
The answer to my prayers!!!! A brand spankin' new Christmas book just chock full of fabulous quilty things to make!!! 22 - yes, count them - 22 adorable projects to make for the holidays. From pillows to runners to tree skirts to stockings to mantle scarves to - - - - -well, you get the idea! There's so many projects in this awesome book that are just BEGGING to be made, it's really hard to pick which one I want to get started on. Take a look at a few of these beauties:
What did I tell ya??? Aren't you excited about this new book too? Tell ya what. Leave me a comment between NOW and midnight July 15th - - - - tell me what project in the book you want to get started on FIRST - - - - and I'll draw a winner on Wednesday, July 16th. One of you could win your very own ebook copy of "Celebrate Christmas with That Patchwork Place"!!!! How's THAT for kickin' off the Christmas season, hmmmm?
Oh - and by the way - make sure you stop by here for lots of other chances to win too!!!

Fantastic book. I think you will make the Celeb Aprons first because they look like such fun to make and they would be quick to finish and be so satisfying.

I'm not sure I can do it justice, but I'd sure try. I've never made diamonds before, but "Fireside Stars" would be perfect for a dear friend of mine. (Actually she and another girl kind of adopted my husband and I as their online Mom and Dad a number of years ago from an online community we all belonged to back then) I'll try anything once and may even attempt to duplicate the side with the stars over the edge on the other side, or just make two and stitch them together down the center to make a table runner. The stars and colors remind me very much of a Jewish design/colors during the holidays so I know she would absolutely love it.

OH shoot, forgot to answer; I don't know if you've already got a winner or not, but I think the first thing you might make would be the Critter Ornaments.
